Appian Event Giveaway Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions ("Terms") govern participation in the giveaway ("Giveaway") conducted by Appian Corporation ("Company") at the Appian Around the World Event (“Appian Event”). By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Terms and the decisions of the Company with respect to the Giveaway, which shall be final and binding in all respects.
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. MAKING A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
1. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of the Company, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members (spouse, parents, children, siblings, and their respective spouses) are not eligible to participate.
2. Entry Period
The Giveaway entry period will commence at 4PM on the date of the Appian Event and will close at 6PM on the date of the Appian Event ("Entry Period"). Entries submitted outside of the Entry Period will not be considered.
3. How to Enter
Any participants who have completed the Company's survey during the Appian Event during the Entry Period will be automatically entered into the Giveaway. Participants may alternatively enter via submission of their name, company, and contact information to Company marketing representatives at the event for selection in the Giveaway. Only one entry per person is permitted. Any attempt to obtain more than one entry will void all such entries. Final eligibility is subject to verification by the Company.
4. Prize
The prize for the Giveaway is an Ember Mug. The approximate retail value of the prize is $150 USD. The prize is non-transferable and no cash or other substitution is permitted, except at the sole discretion of the Company. The Company reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason.
5. Winner Selection and Notification
One winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received. The drawing will take place at approximately 7PM on the date of the Appian Event at the associated reception for the Event. The winner will be notified of the drawing at the reception for the Event. If the winner cannot be contacted, is ineligible, or otherwise fails to claim the prize at the Event upon announcement, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
6. General Conditions
The Company reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if any fraud or technical failures corrupt the integrity of the Giveaway.
The Company reserves the right to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process or acts in violation of these Terms.
All federal, state, and local taxes, and any other costs associated with the prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.
7. Limitation of Liability
By entering the Giveaway, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Company, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss, or damage of any kind arising from or in connection with the Giveaway or any prize won.
8. Winner List / Official Rules
To obtain a copy of the Winner List or a copy of these Terms, send your request along with a stamped, self-addressed envelope to Appian Corporation at 7950 Jones Branch Dr., McLean VA, 22102. Requests for the names of the winners must be received no later than 7 days after the Appian Event has ended.
9. Privacy
Information collected from entrants as a result of the survey and otherwise is subject to the Company's privacy policy, which can be found at https://appian.com/legal/privacy-information. Entrants and Winners further agree that the information provided and the identity and pictures taken of the Winner may be used by Company as required by these Terms and in social media or other postings identifying the Winner in connection with the Appian Event.
10. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Virginia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
